Dave Sarkela of DSR built our home last year and we cannot say enough what a wonderful and easy experience it was. From the very first moment we met Dave it felt like he was the right person to build our dream home on Lake Robinson. Dave had some great ideas to incorporate into our plan and was also able to make some changes we had in mind that seemed to be a problem with other builders we had talked to. His design ideas really added to the look of our home. The quality of the materials and workmanship are as good as any you might find.The entire process went smoothly and everyone at DSR was a pleasure to work with, especially our forman Chad. He was always attentive to our ideas and questions and led us through the building process with the utmost of ease. Even the change that we made as the home went up were never a problem and at the end of the process there wasn’t any discrepancy in what we had agreed upon.It is now a year later and if some minor problem or question pops up, Dave has been eager to attend to it. We have had friends visit who have commented on what a special job was done by our builder and often when we are outside people driving by will tell us what a lovely home we have and ask, “Who built it for you?” We tell everyone that we do not think they could find a better person or company to build your home other than DSR Builders. We are pleased with the quality of our new home built by DSR. It soon will be featured on the cover of “At Home With Don”, a Don Gardner publication.We found the whole experience with DSR to be much better than the last custom home we built. Everything they said they were going to do they did. Our foreman Chad was excellent in getting things done without constant followup which we appreciated. Because they fixed little things as we went along we closed with just a few items on a punch list.We had some modifications that we wanted made and Dave was very flexible in modifying the plans. Through his creativity we got several extra items that make our home much more enjoyable.I think the best thing I can say is if we were going to build again, Dave and his company would be the first we would contact.

DSR Builders built Jackie and I a beautiful 5,000 sq. ft. house on beautiful Lake Keowee in 2003. It was the first house I had ever had built from scratch. I had only heard horror stories from people who had built homes before, complaining about their builder. This house went so smooth that no one believes me when I tell them how good DSR Builders were to work with. I was on the road most of the time it was being built and felt very comfortable that things were being done right back at the building site. DSR Builders did not cut corners, if anything they put more expensive materials in than what the specs called for, they did the right thing even though they could have gotten by with less following the specs. You won’t go wrong with DSR Builders, they build a home like they are going to live in it.
